Gorge Walking is the perfect introduction to our water activities.
Based on site in the Alvie Gorge, gorge walking is the little brother of canyoning and is an exciting rush for adventurous families, stag ‘n’ hen parties or corporate groups. A mix of rock scrambling and white water fun with plunge pools and water chutes, getting wet has never been so much fun!!
Requirements
- You will need: Swimming costume to go under our wetsuit, spare pair of trainers with grip and support (not water shoes) to get wet in the gorge, towel for getting changed after the activity.
- If the water level in the gorge is too high for a safe, fun trip we may offer an alternative activity instead.

Starting off
Once you’ve got your wetsuits and safety gear on, it’s a two minute walk to the river. We’ll start off scrambling up the river, passing through pools and rapids to splash your way up.
Slides and jumps
There are rocky chutes to slide down and jumps into deep pools along the way, but they’re all avoidable if you want.
The scenery is amazing! If you look up you may see people flying overhead on our Zip Adventure course.
Waterfalls to climb
Our main challenge is a climb up the side of waterfall using our cables and footholds to ascend easily and safely to the top.
What’s it like?
Absolutely loved it! Our guide was awesome and really helpful and kept group safe but with lots of fun bits. Really enjoyed.
