Zip Adventure: Your Self-Guided Journey Through the Gorge
Experience the thrill of independent flight at the UK’s biggest zip park. For those seeking a true Zip Adventure, independence is at the heart of the challenge.
If you are looking for a challenge that tests your nerve and your independence, our Zip Adventure course is built for you. Specifically, while our original Zip Trek is a guided tour, the Zip Adventure is a self-guided experience. As a result that lets you progress through the forest canopy at your own pace.
What Sets the Zip Adventure Apart?
The course is located at the G2 Adventure Hub on Alvie Estate, soaring directly over the spectacular Alvie Gorge. Because it is self-guided, it is often considered more physically challenging and requires more self-reliance than our other courses. You may find the Zip Adventure offers the most unique way to explore the landscape.
- 21 Spectacular Wires: Navigate your way across over 1km of amazing zip lines.
- The Safety System: You will be continuously attached to our fail-safe safety system. Consequently, you can focus entirely on the fun of swooping alongside rocky cliffs and criss-crossing over waterfalls.
- Small Tree Platforms: The course features smaller platforms high in the trees that are sure to test your head for heights.
- The Final Race: The journey ends on our brand-new double zip wire. Ultimately, you can race your friends side-by-side back to the 15-metre high Zip Tower.
Requirements
- Max weight limit: 120 kilograms / 19 stone / 265 pounds – we will check!
- Must fit into our Zip Harnesses: Waist (max) 110cm / 44inches – Leg girth (max) 75cm / 30 inches. We may ask you to wear an additional chest harness for your comfort and safety.
Fitness
You will walk uphill on a forest path for 10 minutes to the start of the course. You will need to use your arms to control your speed and direction on the zip wires.

Ages 10+ Under 13’s must be accompanied by an adult on the course. Maximum 2 children per adult.

Getting Started
After you get kitted out in our equipment and walk to the start of the zip adventure course, you will receive a short safety briefing from one of our Zip Guides. Our new safety system means that you are permanently attached to the wires until you complete the course. Your guide will show you how the move along the course as well as how to safely set off, land and control your speed on each zip wire.
Flying High
Once we have observed you completing the first few wires safely, you will make your own way along the rest of the course with our Zip Guides supervising you from a distance.
The wires get higher as you fly high over waterfalls and rapids along the Alvie Gorge.
Race your friends
The course ends at our fantastic Zip Tower. At over 200m long, you can race your friends along the double wires. Who will get to the tower first?
