White Water rafting is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Scotland; from our base in Aviemore we can access exciting sections of the river Spey to sections of one of the best white water rivers in Britain, the mighty Findhorn. A stag ‘n’ hen favourite!
Rafting in Aviemore, Scotland

WHITE WATER RAFTING AVIEMORE: – RIVER FINDHORN (middle) grade II/III(medium/hard trip)
The River Findhorn (middle section) near Aviemore and Inverness is G2 Outdoor’s most popular rafting trip with the right amount of excitement to suit most peoples thirst for adrenaline, this trip is popular with stag groups/ hen groups, military and older family groups. For those that want even more excitement we can put you in the smaller two person mini-rafts or try our grade IV trip! Please be aware the river can sometimes be too low in summer so we may switch to the River Spey or if you are after excitement then we can always switch to canyoning!
The middle Findhorn trip is one of Britain’s most scenic river trips with awesome rapids fantastically named such as ‘wall of death’ and ‘carnage corner’!! (Don’t worry it’s not that bad!!)
We usually meet at G2’s unit in Aviemore at 10am to fit out wetsuits and organise transport, most people take their own vehicles but we can organise transport for a small cost or we can squeeze a few in our mini-bus. The River is about half an hour drive from Aviemore.
We normally get back to Aviemore about 3pm therefore most people will bring pack lunches which we will have on the river if it’s a nice day or we will have it at the end of the river trip if it’s too cold to stop on the river. We can arrange pack lunches if you require for a small price.
Trip price is £55 per person Kids half price if part of our mid-week programme.

WHITE WATER RAFTING AVIEMORE: – RIVER FINDHORN (upper) grade III/IV(hard trip)
The upper Findhorn is our hardest rafting trip and is, this trip is on one of Scotland’s best white water rivers giving an exhilarating ride combined with an awesome location. This trip begins at Dulsie Bridge and twists, turns and drops through stunning scenery to finish at the Ardlach bell tower get out point. This trip is very dependant on river levels and may not run in summer due to low water so if it’s excitement you are after then we will take you to Canyoning!
