Amazing day touring with clients today. Fresh tracks every turn today everywhere. Ok so it was only an inch deep but no one else had skied it. The G3 Zenoxydes felt a little over kill with their 105 mm in the waist but they still turned fantastic. The guys had never ski toured before and what a day to start. We were accompanied by the wander dog as well. After a later start than planned we raced up Lurchers Gully (Ground Hog day) to gain some height.
Once up there the veiws across to Cairn Toul area looked fantastic. So much snow up there you can ski for ever.
From the top of lochan it was skins off for a great ski down in to the Feith Buidhe football pitch before a skin back up over the top. Ben MacDui looked inviting but if we had made it away earlier maybe we would have tried it. Plenty of people up earlier than us. Lucky beggers!
Even the very well behaved dog enjoyed the ski down Lurchers today.
