Back Country and off-piste Skiing Cairngorm Mountain
Back country or off piste skiing as it was, is probably the fastest growing area of skiing today. Once thought of as the domain of the extreme ski movie stars and the professional mountaineer. Now with the development of ski equipment and peoples’ skill level, it’s never been easier for people to ski the off piste. Leave the mountaineering stuff to us and just enjoy the powder (well sometimes!). We will cover a few skills such as avalanche transceiver searching and avalanche awareness during the day.
Whether its ski, telemark or snowboard our instructors are all passionate riders and will take you to the best off-piste conditions available but be prepared for the best and worst the Scottish weather has to offer!
