AVIEMORE RAFTING: - RIVER SPEY BALLINDALLOCH TO KNOCKANDO grade II (easy/medium trip)
This is G2’s main rafting trip through summer due to the river Spey keeping its water even when the other rivers are too low to raft, this river is a favourite for family, stag ‘n’ hen, and military groups. We can use either the two person mini-rafts or the five person rafts depending on if you want to make it easy or harder, this trip takes in the infamous “washing machine” which has seen the downfall of many a small canoe or kayak but is made safe and exciting by our rafts.
We usually meet at G2’s unit at 10am to fit out wetsuits and organise transport, most people take their own vehicles but we can organise transport for a small cost or we can squeeze a few in our mini-bus.
We normally get back to Aviemore about 3pm therefore most people will bring pack lunches which we will have on the river if it’s a nice day or we will have it at the end of the river trip if it’s too cold to stop on the river. We can arrange pack lunches if you require for a small price.
Trip price is £50 per person
Things to Bring
Towel, spare trainers, pack lunch, shorts/swim costume
